Insurance

● Personal Choice 10/20/70

● Health insurance contributions:

Year one  -  94% district funded

Year two  - 92% district funded

Year three - 90% district funded

Year four -   89% district funded

 

● Personal Choice 5/15/70

● Health insurance contributions:

Year one  - $100/yr Single $300/yr                     Family

Year two  - Same as year one

Year three - Same as year one

Year four -   Same as year one

Work Day

● Increase work day by 15 minutes to 7 ¾  hours to allow for more teacher time for IEPs, ISTs and student assessments

● Allow one academic period per day for high school chairpersons in the 4 major departments

 

● Maintain current 7 ½-hour day.

● Allow all teachers a longer preparation period

● Allow one academic period per day for HS/MS chairpersons in 12 departments

● Allow Special Education Teachers 6 release days per year

Personal Days

● Increase from 2 to 3 personal days with no restrictions.

● 2 personal days with no restrictions on how they can be used and the ability to accumulate up to 5 days

Retirement Incentive

● Pay-outs ranging from $45-$60 per day for unused sick time

● Increase medical coverage from three to five years following retirement for 2004-05 and 2005-06 only.

● Pay-outs ranging from $60-$80 per day for unused sick time

● Increase medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage for 12 years or receive a payment of $50,000

Union Activity-Related Leave

● Maintain current level of nine days of leave for union-related activities.

● Increase days of personal leave for union-related activities to 12.
