GREAT VALLEY SCHOOL BOARD NEGOTIATING TEAM PLEASED WITH POSITIVE
DIRECTION OF CONTRACT TALKS
July 20, 2004 – The Great Valley School Board Negotiating Team and the Great Valley Education Association agreed to a number of contractual items during a negotiation session held July 19th, moving both sides closer to an agreement.
“Now that we have been able to make some real progress, we are eager to see what we can accomplish during our next bargaining sessions,” said Jay Levin, spokesperson for negotiations. “Though we still have to resolve some of the major outstanding issues, such as salaries and benefits, we are hopeful that this positive momentum will continue.”
The next negotiation sessions have been scheduled for Aug. 2, Aug. 9 and Aug. 12. Community members are encouraged to continue visiting the website at www.gvsd.org for information.
